We gave out 1000 in 2009, 3000 in 2010, and 5000 in 2011, so for 2012, we’re aiming for 7000 paper hearts (and hugs)!

Have a Heart is an annual event whereby agents will be giving out free HUGS and HEARTS along Orchard Road

What do I have to do to participate?
1. RSVP as attending to the facebook event.
2. Invite your friends and love ones to do the same and
3. Join us on the day of the event!

Meeting details
Date: 12 February 2012, Sunday
Time: 1.30PM
Location: Empty space opposite Scape, next to NYCS
Attire: Bright colours, dress comfortably, casual, light.
Bring: Good spirits and big smiles! and also deodorant. Water and umbrella if necessary.

Preparations:

We’ll be cutting out hearts in advance on 22 January.

What to bring?
1) Yourself
2) A pair of scissors

The rest of the materials (paper, tape, etc.) will be provided. All I need will be your help to prepare the hearts ♥

Recycle The Bottle

What do you get when you put recycling and a flashmob together?

Inspired by this video on Youtube, we decided to give it a try ourselves. We set up bottles near a recycling bin in the heart of Orchard and waited. Our wait was fruitful, with 3 different individuals from varying backgrounds taking up the initiative to recycle our bottle, only to find out it was a trap that triggered a mob of people cheering in all directions for that noble act.

Kudos to Agent Darryl, who did a great job helping to plan for and playing our ‘TV Host’ role in the mission, and thanks to everyone else who sacrificed their Saturday afternoon to come down and participate, your help is much appreciated in making this one of our best turnouts for a mission in a long time.

Each year on Valentine’s Day weekend, we roam the streets in town giving out Paper hearts and Free hugs.

The Sound Experiment 2010

Finally, Sound experiment 2010. As promised Sound Experiment 2010 is here. Last year we crashed a certain performing arts center with our improvised musical act, this year… Where will we perform? Hmmm… *rubs chin of grinning face.

Sound Experiment is an annual music experiment where we explore creative ways of bringing music into public spaces usually where it is least expected. The greatest challenge to the experiment is teaching the participants, all volunteers, the music piece and how to perform in an afternoon and perform it later on the same day!

We stood at a corner in orchard road and stared at a Large outdoor display. The whole thing lasted for more than 20 minutes. There was a tv crew hidden somewhere on the other side of the road filming us for a local tv programme.
