Everything was planned. The girl had an empty envelope in her other back pocket. The signed card was inserted into the box prior to the trick. The ‘Mat’ is one of us.
We went out to East Coast Park to conduct a survey in an effort to capture a moment of collective perspective.
Our agents put on their ties and went out into the foray of beach goers, picnicker, sun bathers, stroller pushers, feet walkers, bicyclers and the others and gathered from them answers to important questions.
Or…. Maybe not…
Anyway, we gathered the data, had some fun and made as many graphs as humanly possible out of them.
“We were dressed, of all outfits, in a shirt and tie, and we go around asking questions to the people enjoying their saturday afternoons in ECP. Weird it was, but the fun element was definitely not lacking.” – Agent Calvin
We had a pretty awesome time at the National Airport(Changi Airport) on that Sunday afternoon. Our gang of young men and women roamed the arrival halls. We were inspired by ImprovEverywhere to welcome strangers to our Country.
Instead of stealing names from awaiting drivers as the guys at ImprovEverywhere did, we approached the people waiting at the arrival hall and offered our “Welcome” services.
Although we managed to welcome just 2 groups, with the time we had, we made the most of it.
In the spirit of valentine day and in conjunction with the International FREE HUGS campaign, we went to the streets of Singapore and gave out our HEARTS and our HUGS to members of the public.
A thousand paper hearts and many more hugs, were dispensed with love.
“My first mission. I initially had the mindset that MSG was purely about flash mobs, but aft this, it was definitely more to it. Fun,joy brought to strangers using the most spontaneous way possible. Talk about killing 2 birds with a stone.”- Agent Calvin
“I can safely say that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole mission. More importantly I felt the little things we did (hugged + stick heart- shaped stickers on random people) undoubtedly made people smile and added that little excitement to their day, which I believe is the aim of M:SG.
I would like to show my appreciation to Agent S. Dasuki for his passion and dedication and thank him for continuously making people like me (who usually set my RSVP to missions as Maybe Attending but in the end not going for the missions) feel that we’re kept on the loop of what’s going on with M:SG through his invites and messages.” – Agent Anthony Suryaputra
The act is pretty simple, Go into the scene bring your hand up and finger out and shout Bang! Everyone had about 10 Bangs to waste and after which, you would go down Dramatically! We had about 55 agents for this and they all had Fun. Enjoy!
400 agents, one hot sun, one stretch of Orchard Road and we froze. With the sun blazing, all stood still for a whole 5 minutes all for the sake of fun. Congrats everyone!!!
